Free storytime program offered May 18

What: The J.D. McCarty Center will host a free storytime program that will feature children's yoga, cooperative play and snacks. The program is open to kids who are in pre-kindergarten to second grade. The featured book is "Not A Box," and activities will be geared toward themes in the book.

When: Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Where: The McCarty Center at 2002 E. Robinson St. in Norman.

Camp ClapHans is a residential summer camp for children with disabilities that will open in the summer of 2013. The camp is for kids ages 8 to 16 and is being built on the J.D. McCarty Center's property in Norman. It features two cabins, an activities building and is located next to an 11-acre lake. The camp will also feature many exciting activities, including archery, arts and crafts, astronomy, canoeing, fishing, field games, horseback riding, nature hikes and swimming.
