Camp ClapHans

2016
J. D. McCarty Center

Camp ClapHans is a residential summer camp for children with disabilities that will begin its routh year the summer of 2015. This year we have expanded our age group to kids ages 8 to 18. Camp ClapHans is built on the south end of the J.D. McCarty Center's 80-acre campus in Norman. It features two cabins, an activities building and is located next to an 11-acre lake. The camp will feature many exciting activities, including archery, arts and crafts, canoeing, fishing, field games, horseback riding, nature hikes, campfires and swimming. We offer a 1:1 camper to camp staff ratio and a registered nurse is available at the camp site 24 hours a day. Camp ClapHans is accredited by the American Camp Association. Registration for 2015 will open Monday, January 11 and will close March 11. For more information call Camp Director Paxton Stieber at 405-307-2814 or email to: Email Paxton Stieber
